Volunteering and Work Opportunities

Job Opportunities:

  • Paid seasonal worker for six months starting in April - to see a full job description please click here

Volunteering Opportunities:

There are currently only two members of staff at the Microdairy; Nat and Charlotte, as well as a limited budget! We are always looking for volunteers to help out on the farm to make continuing the business possible and getting all the many jobs that need to be done completed. If you are interested, please get in touch!

Some of the volunteering roles we could really benefit from help with include:

  • Help with our fundraiser at The Long Table on February 17th

  • Friendly electrician/plumber/skilled person/handy person - a lot of our tools and equipment are older, tired, and/or makeshift so we could really use help with some related jobs that need doing

  • From March: Cow movements in the morning and bringing the cows in, leading to helping with milking if the person is interested

  • Market stall person - we are hoping to do regular markets next year and would love somebody to help alongside Nat and Charlotte with the market stall

  • Permanent fencing - we have a lot of materials and are slowly making progress on this but could use all the help we can get!

  • Land management - topping, weeding, brush maintenance (eg. brambles, etc), tree care (we have new/early trees that will need monitoring and looking after, e.g. with mulching)

  • Administration - this will be particularly important when we recommence milking. Depending on which customer interface we end up using, we could really use help monitoring things like subscription management and extras payments for example.

  • Marketing –  If you can help spread the word about us and our venture that would be a great help, this could be by:

-Mentioning it to friends and family that you think might be interested.

-Sharing, commenting, and liking our posts and activity on social media.

  • Community events - help with bringing people together for community days.

If you are interested in helping with any of these jobs on a temporary/one-off or continuous basis or know somebody who may be interested, please let us know via hello@stroudmicrodairy.co.uk

Any help would be greatly appreciated and can help ensure the continuation of the Microdairy.
